So after realising a second hand unit without a fob or PIN was useless I managed to get a NOS TSSM from the states and even got a refund on the old one!
All fitted tonight, PIN code set and auto arming enabled - result :-)
Now, I want to add the siren, and from what I can tell I can fit either the older siren unit or the new one with the antenna (Smart Siren II).
My question is, I assume the siren module itself is the same across the board? Although there are various part numbers it seems its only the "fitting" contents that vary, as all the pictures I can find the actual alarm module itself looks the same. The Road King has the lead installed to connect directly to the module so I don't need the harness or a mounting bracket.
There is a module for a 00-03 Dyna for sale on eBay at the moment at a super price, wondering whether to pull the trigger or not....
So the siren module fitted fine, and works a treat - the difference in the part numbers is basically the mounting bracket or extension loom in the box, Road King needs neither so it slipped in and connected right up!
