just a interesting idea that i saw last weekend. and no i didnt have a cam to take pics, guy on a king classic had them color match line-x bed liner on the front of his saddlebags and the first cpl inches on the lid it looked pretty good and he said he hadnt had any chipping problem or rock problem since ha had them done awhile back.

a couple years ago i saw a EG ultra that had all the painted parts covered with the LineX coating...i mean everything painted. It looked like some sort or MadMax bike. Maybe that is where HD got the idea of the flat colors for 07...

You sure cannot beat the Line-X as a rock guard.I will stick with the paint.

yeah i wasnt to my taste but if someone was really worried about rock damage it seems like it would work good, if they liked the wrinkled look
