Check it out here: http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...l-pump-upgrade

If you have the tools, (some HD dealers will rent you the tools) I am sure you could do it.

That's part of the fun/ addiction!

Enjoy
Yea I'll be keeping my current bike. Can't sell it. Got too much time and money in it.

Hey Adam,

Sounds like your wife is a keeper, talking you into a new RG! It could be much worse...!

If you're considering a cam chest upgrade, I'd skip the Screamin' Eagle kit. It retains the use of the Morse link chain for the secondary cam chain. This style is what you already have, and it never stops wearing into the tensioner.

If you're doing this, and you want to keep the bike forever, then I'd say go straight to the updated parts, not Harley's band-aid fix. You can use all the new current parts (cam support plate, oil pump, roller chains, and hydraulic tensioners) for about the same price.

The kicker is that you'd need to use aftermarket conversion cams, which isn't a bad thing. If you keep the 03 an 88" engine, the Andrews 21N is a solid choice.

Lemme know if you want a parts list. I have the swap to upgraded parts documented in an Excel sheet.

The work itself is easy enough too. A service manual and the forum will be all you need to get it done.

Oh thanks man. Yea send it on please. Here's my email from that's easier. And yea she's definitely a keeper! She's always doing that kind of stuff. I think it's why we work so well. It goes both ways. No I'm just debating whether or not to break off 24k cash on a new bike. I have a really sweet eglide I converted to a street glide along with doing a ton of mods to. It's raked and 23" on front. Just got stretch rear kit in also so working on mocking that up, doing apes too. Hope to be sending all pieces to custom paint next week. Been a process but it's almost there.

Woods put everything you need to upgrade your cam chest together in his RCC Conversion Kit. Not sure how this compares to buying everything separately. Available through Fuel Moto. I used this kit on a couple of 88" upgrades

Thx buddy! I appreciate the helpful info. I can see clearly the cam needs attention. It's definitely on my list to do while I'm doing my updates. Christmas came a few times early for this ole boy so I'm elbow deep having a blast!
