Default 23" wheel

Ok I ordered up a 23" wheel, rotors, and fender for a 14 sg. Is there anything else I need to do to ensure that the fender doesn't hit anything?

Yes there is. Your going to need a set of rakes trees to increase the rake of your front forks. Look into hhi x23 trees or Packard. Most guys tend to use a set of fork stops also.

What do you think about the Ness trees?

Ness trees are designed for 3 different size wheels which menas they are not specific to any of them. My opinion, get a tree specifically designed for a 23" wheel. I sell Pickard and HHI at great prices. I usually have both in stock as well. You are also going to need a 23" fender. Both HHI and Pickard trees come with some sort of fork stop but clearances will still need to be double checked before riding to ensure that there is no contact.
