Default Ultra Limited seat mod with backrest????

So I purchased a new 2016 Ultra Limited with a couple thousand dollars worth of mods cheaper than I could a stock Ultra Limited from another dealer in town. One of the mods is the removable tour pack with an aftermarket Street Glide CVO type seat. I really like the look without the tour pack but I also want to use the tour pack for longer trips which is part of the problem. The CVO type seat will not allow you to put the driver back rest hardware under the CVO seat which limits the ability to use a back rest with the stock seat.
So my question is, has anyone played with permanently installing a fixed sleeve in the stock Ultra Limited seat to allow the use of a driver backrest without attaching anything to the fender? Is there an aftermarket product that would accomplish what I want to do? I have a few ideas but would defer to someone who has successfully done it if you are willing to share.

You are using an aftermarket "CVO type" seat.

maybe replace that with a HD streetglide seat which will work with backrest

Seats are very often the most tweaked and changed - costing 100's of $$$$
You say its an 'after market CVO Type? What is that

Sad thig is, IF you start shopping for a different seat - there goes some of that savings

Getting a good answer / state exactly what that seat is and maybe post some pictures including the bottom view

Also - you Ride the bike not Drive , lol

Guys - I am not interested in modifying the CVO seat or getting rid of it. I want to install a back rest sleeve in the standard Ultra Limited seat like some of the non-oem aftermarket seats have. I was wondering if anyone had experience doing that, before I reinvent the wheel..

the stock seat pan is plastic- how well that would take the load stresses is the grey area.
If you make a bracket and it lets go, that'll trash your fender

If you are "married" to the aftermarket seat, then you are married to the limitations.

..a seat swap takes 2 minutes.

you could also attach or remove the back rest mount in about 3 additional minutes.

maybe that's your fix, just install the mount with the ultra seat, remove it when switching to your other seat.
