I use boardtracker and ronnies for when I see that I have to buy a 10pk of something, when I only need 1 or two.
but... I have nothing but good things to say about Tony. I ordered an SE Compensator which was missing the 5th and smallest disc and when I called him... no questions asked, and he shipped the part (which can only be ordered as set) that was missing overnight free of charge.
Anthony at Boardtracker does great service and has the best pricing, shipping offer I've found. Surdyke follows. I like the boys at my local dealer, but retail plus 8.25% tax is not optimizing the budget. It's worth the short wait to save over 28%.
Ya, I'm with Rumblin'. Like to throw business my dealer's way sometimes just because they've done me right in the past, but the online savings for big ticket items can't be beat. The lowers listed @$570, so Boardtracker was a no brainer.
The dealer is handy for those times when my purchases need to be 'discreet'.
Every year in late fall I would put in a big order to Kutters for my winter projects.
I order a oil cooler, engine guard and fork brace for every HD that I get that doesn't come with one.
I have had 25 HD's since 07 and 18 are still in my garage. So that was a lot of parts. I placed an online order recently to Boardtracker.
Several days later I got an email from them stating that I bought many of the same items in the past. If I wanted them I would have to send my VIN to them for the bike each item was for.
I replied with the VIN of the three new bikes that I was ordering for and explained that I was a collector of all families of HD bikes and those were the mods that I did to each of them thus several years of ordering the same parts. I assured them that I was not a service shop and they could call my dealer where I purchased all the bikes and ask the owner about me or any staff as they each know my name. I am the only rider that rides to the dealer almost every day during the winter. They always have hot chocolate waiting.
Some how they think that Engine guards and fork braces are stocking items like a case of oil filters would be. I understand that they can not sell to an independent per their franchise but my once a year order for big items does not compute as stocking quantities.
It has been several days and no reply back. It is the same staff that was there with Kutter's.
Active reader of this board but signed up just to give a shout out to the boardtracker crew. Once I found out about them I've been using them for all my HD parts. Easy website, prices that can't be beat, no tax, fast shipping and excellent customer service! Shipping on out of stock items adds about a day or two but when I'm saving $$$ I have no problem waiting. I've been preaching about boardtracker to all my buddies.
It funny. I have a order being sent right now. Boardtracker prices are always within a dollar or two+- of Surdyke but my orders are always slow. 3 days, then I get a response Order received. Then two to three days later order sent. Never talked to them. Never returned anything. Just my observation. Surdyke doesn't have alot of the things I want. Not a lot accompanying pictures. Both of them need serious help with their websites
I've been getting my parts/clothing from Kutter (now Boardtracker) for a long time and Anthony is a pleasure to deal with and I like their discounts as well!
We keep posting threads about Boardtracker's P&A prices, and the MoCo will cut them off like they did to their ESP guy, Jim Palmer. Shhhh! We know they're good, keep it to ourselves!
