For $15 a set of ROCKOUTS would be a worthy investment

- Front motor mount - Glide Pro
- Cam chain tensioners - changed at 30k, but stock, will go to Hydrolic?'
- SE Compensator
- Stator - anything better than stock?

What else should I consider doing?
If the mount is good-- leave it alone
If the compensator is good-- leave it alone
If the stator is good-- leave it alone
Cam plate upgrade-- do it
When doing the cam plate-- change the inner cam bearings
If it ain't broke, don't fix it

Do the Hydro update, but if you want it to last for 80k before inspection of the cam chest do what I did. I went with an S&S cam plate, and oil pump, which is far superior than anything that is out there IMO. I also went with Andrews conversion cams which makes an older bike spec like a new bike in the cam chest which to my knowledge has not really had a failure yet.
The big deal is the chains , not the tensioners I believe.
It did cost me quite a bit to do what I did to my bike, but I won't have to do it again. The S&S plate even has adjustable oil pressure, so you can't over pressurize your tensioners like with a baisley spring, and the bushings are replaceable, so you don't just trash this plate like the SE plate. The S&S Oil pump is awesome , I would bet this pump would run with a 12 thou run out crank, because of the way it is built.
I have seen the newer spec bikes with over 100k on the tensioners, and they are worn, but not to an extent that they are going to cause a catastrophic failure. I use the same chains as in the newer bikes, with a better oil pump, and I should expect no less.

all this stuff is for "bulletproofing" has little to do with power. some may add a little. You could also go with a timkin brg setup, but your bike isn't giant on the HP so the lefty brg, in both sides should be sufficient

- Yes I like the GlidePro.
- Yes the HD Hydraulic Kit is the way to go (give everything a good look over while in the cam chest)
- Don't fix it if it ain't broke.
- Stock is fine, Cycle Electric is good too.

My '05 SEEG (HD Hydraulic Kit, GlidePro) has been bullet proof so far, 60k mi...

Thanks for the input. And, yea, my comment on HP was not meant as the items you listed were HP related, but there is a lot I could do there, just not the goal.

So yea, your comments is definitely valid.

I dropped the bike off with a local performance tuner today to get looked over. I do a lot myself, but not tuning. That I leave to the pro's. He is going to check out the internals as well, compression check, etc...

That will probably set me back a bit financially, especially if he cannot get my ancient race tuner setup to work. THen I have to go to the newer tuner which will not be cheap. I am hoping he can get it to work without the added expense of another tuner.

Glide Pro I will order and do myself. He will be doing the hydro plate and a few other checks.

I wish I could say that it does not suck to have to fix some of these engineering problems. But almost everything these days has their problems cause ... cheap, plastic crap!.

If you go with the hydraulic cam plate you're going to have to change cams. Your 05, like mine, has factory cams that are the same diameter one both ends, but the new camplate is sized differently as there are no bearings on the outboard side. I personally used an Andrews conversion cam, although I'd guess other cam makers offer one. The Andrews 26N is marketed for such an application on a big bore 95/96/98 motor.
