OK, I know I ask a lot of elementary questions...and ask for a lot of opinions like "what would you do", and I know its my bike and I can do whatever the hell I want with it but,
If you were me (me has a very limited budget) would you roll with:
A. 13" rk shocks moded by Bitchin Baggers; or
B. Look for used aftermarket set?
Looks like the 940 or 944 would be nice if I could find a decent pair cheap, and another member suggested I try for blemishes, which I will (I call dibs) when the holidays are over. Like to looks of Howards 2-2A (without talking with him, just from what I have read) - probably next winter.
I have a brand new set of LA Choppers blocks in the mail...picked them up for 52 bucks so I pulled the trigger, but not sure if they will fit and want a back-up plan....Or if I can swing it with my ol' lady a forefront plan...haha
Want to say thanks for your patience and help guys! This site has helped my out with numerous mods and many garage hours.
Just my opinion. If you know you'll call Howard next year then don't buy something this year. Live with stock and do it right next year. Don't spend more than you have to.

I bought progressive 444s 3 months ago and today sold those pos and ordered a set of 2-1/2s from Howard... So yeah don't do like I did and have to buy twice!
Ok let's say Howard is out of the picture for now and I only get get to choose between the above . Any riding BB? How do they compare to stock and a shock like progressive 940s or whatever. I would throw Ohlins in there but I think they are hard to come by used.
I replied to your other shock thread. So I'll keep this one short.
If Howard is out of picture... Go BB... I've done blocks before and just recently did the BB modification. Awesome company, and well worth it in my opinion. I hated the blocks. Crap ride and jacked up my wiring harness. My own fault though. Went too low with blocks.
Bhibbert, what were you running with the blocks 12-3/4 or 12"? With the BB how long were those cut to? So there is a plus one for "BB rode better on my bike than my stock shocks blocks".
I had blocks on my 1200N, and they sucked..... And I had blocks on my 07 SG, and they sucked. The shocks on the 07 SG were OEM, 12" eye to eye shocks, when I had the blocks on it.
With my current set up- I sent my OEM shocks off of my 09SG (12" eye to eye), into BB to be cut down to 11". Love them.
