Default Quick Tour Pak Question

I just bought a medium size tour pak like the one that comes on a Screaming Eagle Road Glide. My question is...what are the Harley tour paks made of ABS or fiberglass? The one that I have looks fairly heavy constructed. I'm just wondering if it is really Harley or not. The pad definitely looks like Harley seat material. Thanks

Older tour packs are made of Fiberglass. The newer models are ABS. I think they switched to ABS around 2004. My buddies 2003 RK has fiberglass bags and tourpack.

If it's an older fiberglass one you should be able to tell it's fiberglass by looking on the inside. Post or picture of it.

I bought a tour pack for my bike and it was abs plastic as well. It had a build date sticker on the lid which helped to get the correct parts for the tour pak. For example: my bike is a 2003 flhtpi and the tour pack build sticker said it was made in 2011. If I ordered parts using the year model of my bike for the tour pak- like a t/p liner, it wouldn't fit. A t/p liner for a 2011 was slightly different. Must be something slightly different between the abs and fiberglass versions. The mount stuff was the same though.
