In went with the BAL last year and it's bright. In fact I have guys who hate riding behind me at night cause they say it's blinding bright. Was worth the cash

This sounds really interesting: I have one of the useless Airwing LEDs....I like what you replaced it with...how bright is it? Did you also replace the OE tail light?

It's brIght,and being slightly convex,it has a wider beam pattern than a bal.the taillight is a led unit made in 2002 by Heavycycles. I had it on my fxd for years. It has a bluedot led that flashes in the center with the brake. Very well made and bright for the time it was made. I believe billet boys makes something similar

That is the only downside I have found. I have yet to ride behind someone with a BAL but my friends do complain, especially at night.

Those are really great options. I have been wondering what is out there for a taillight. For those with a tourpak, is there a replacement for the lights there as well? MIne is 08 and I see a lot of LED tails but then the tourpak seems really dim and looks out of place. I would think having the higher mounted lights be as bright as the LED tail would be great.
