The gloves that you are talking about will cost you about $9/annually when amortized out of the life of the gloves. Probably last longer than that if you don't loose them. I spent more money on shitty leather than I have on good leather.

Yeah it was nice in NC today. Take your pick here https://www.foxcreekleather.com/mens_mensdeerskin and it's better leather than the HD.

They have free shipping and no tax. Or you can take a quick ride just over into Independence, VA and try on a pair.

+1 on nitrile gloves as liners.

If they a comfortable and warm buy them for $90. I have paid that much or more for gloves that were comfortable but turned out not to be that warm in real world conditions. If my hands are cold and hurting it is hard to enjoy the ride.

Blackhawk make some good gloves and I have been wearing them for quite some time. It did take about a week for me to settle in with the gloves and them to become tight around my fingers. They look good too and are priced right.

if these are the gauntlet gloves you were looking at, i'd get them. I've had a pair for about 3 years now. they do a pretty good job of keeping my hands warm in the la winters.

and for those days when it warms up some, I also keep these in my saddlebags. these are an 'outseam' design so they are very comfortable. and the leather is very soft and pliable. I bought these last spring and they still look like new. course, I haven't worn them all that much, in the summer I wear perforated gloves, so these have a spring and fall on them.

the next piece of advice, don't buy direct from your dealer. buy them from a hd discounter, I think I paid $65 for the windshielder gloves.

just go get a pair or welding gloves for 20 bucks or so, I've been using welding gloves for cold weather riding since 1976
