Aim VPC
AIM-Tamachi makes the SE vpc. You just need to find the proper spring rate for the torque of your particular engine build. $232 from Surdyke or Boardtracker HD.
Hey. great info on clutch. How would a S/E performance clutch kit and stock spring work. up to what HP would it take. I got the kit and S/E spring and its hard to pull but doesn"t slip but torque and HP is under 120 so could i use stock spring. thanks.
I just wanted to take a moment to review this fantastic product. I realize, that this is an old thread, but, I just put it in my bike today. I've had 2 or 3 mechanics tell me, that it isn't worth it to do the VPC. Well, I'm here to tell you, they were completely wrong! The product claims a reduction of lever pull weight, of 20%. I'm guessing it's probably closer to a 40 % reduction. I have a 2015 SGS, and as you probably know, it has a hydraulic clutch. I've heard, and am guilty, of much complaining about it. Do yourself a huge favor, especially if you frequently ride in congested traffic, and get this. It really does drastically reduce the weight of the pull.
Now, onto the second benefit of the variable pressure clutch; Lock up. I don't have a huge amount of power, but certainly, my bike is no slouch. I am dynode at 92hp/ 112tq. While no problem for this gadget, it was too much to ask from my stock clutch plates. Under heavy acceleration, I could feel it slipping, while up-shifting. That is no longer the case. Up-shifting is now sudden and strong! I am a true believer, now, and it's because of this thread that I even tried it.
