Another shock question...?

Not my 2013. I measured my bike when new with a brand new tire. And it was touching right at nine inches. And that's standing still with zero accounting for tire growth at hyway speed. I firmly stand behind my "anything below 9.5 inches and your gonna hit". At 9.5 your safe, I would never trust even 9.3 with a brand new tire. But that's just me.

I've bottomed twice, loaded up with rear rack plus a decent size bag riding double. Shocks pumped up to 48 lbs. I'd have to look to see again to see how much I'm lowered, it was on when I bought.

Baja, I'm in the research process as well. I am pretty sure of the shock I am going to use and the guy I am getting them from...By comparison...people are trying to sell used 944s on CL and Ebay for 500 bucks...Why buy used one size fits all when I can get a superior shock with custom setup brand new for slightly more? If I found 944s for like 250 bucks in mint used condition that would be one thing, but unless that happens I am taking the advice of many of the other members here. So far I am thinking the 2-2as.
