You're right, HD don't offer solid bushings.
Dealers are selling aftermarket.

I prefer solid bushings with apes also , the only ones I found from Harley come with their HD Batwing apes. Unfortunately HD does not sell them separate. I have the alloy art polys in and 14" Mayhems a little more vibration at idle but smoothes out as soon I get rolling again.

I'm not sure why HD don't offer the solid aluminum bushings across the counter, but for some reason they seem to think they are needed when installing the apes or they wouldn't be included with their bars.
I manufacture and sell suspension bushings for ATV's and UTV's out of UHMW "Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene" and have considered making some riser bushings for my bike out of the same material instead buying HD's ($49) Polyurethane bushings that they offer as a replacement to the OEM rubber.
The UHMW is a stiffer material then polyurethane but have a little bit of give over using aluminum, I think it will work out fine myself for riser bushings with tall bars.

I just put bars on both my bikes and replaced the bushings. I used Arlen Ness on one of them and DS on the other. The Ness appear to be firmer ..................

V-twin makes solid ones

Lot of misinformation flying around in here, first off DO NOT over tighten the riser bolts all it does is crush the metal spacer sleeve which will cause more movement in the long run not less.

Next issue any bars over stock height replace the stock rubber bushings with a polyurethane set and no it won't cause that much more vibration, tall bars are going to feel like they are moving more because they are taller/longer. Add length you add travel at the end of the bars.
