My 2008 FLHX doesn't have that function.

Yes, there is. Put your thumb on the volume control, and hold down. It will drop volume until it's muted. It's been a while since I had an HK radio, because I replace it..... but I think it even says MUTE on the display when you do this.

When I still had my HK unit on my 09, sometimes I would just try to turn the radio down a notch or 2 and I would barely touch the down button and it would mute. Didn't know if there was a trick to it that I didn't know or what.

I gave the only correct answer....... Turn the volume all the way down and the display will say MUTE. If you have a better answer, please share it. Otherwise..............................:icon_snowb all:

If possible, it would be noted in your owners manual.
My '07 Ultra manual states while in "Intercom Mode", it will display MUTE when volume is all the way down for Intercom.

correct. i think it's stupid that if you turn the volume all the way down it says 'mute'. to me, mute means press a button, the volume goes down, press the button again and it returns to where you were. otherwise, you're just turning the volume up and down.....

sorry if you took my reply as a swipe at you, it was definitely not meant that way.
