New throttle cable questions

New throttle cable questions
In the middle of putting 16" apes on my Road King. I bought the pre-wired bars from HCC with the longer cables as well. It seems where the throttle cable enters the housing is not very tight. They kind of snapped into place but seem loose. Everything is adjusted and works fine but not sure if I missed something or if that's normal. Also there were two wires plugged into the side of the old cables under the tank. These connectors are not on the new cables. What are these for??? Thanks.

Pothole is correct. There is what's called a "Roll Off Switch" on the cable. If you have cruise and panic snap the throttle against return stop it will set that switch and tell cruise control to drop off. Maybe a previous owner bought the cruise version? or perhaps it was there in case the cruise option was added at dealer?
