Default Jiffy Stand interlock

I'm not sure I want to do it but if I did, is a jiffy stand interlock an easy install (plug and play) on a 2014 touring model or is it something you have to have married to the CAN buss at the dealer?

Not to be stupid but for what? Why do you need and interlock for the kick stand?

I know the metrics have them, not sure if anyone even makes one for HD. Do you have a manufacturer in mind that you can post a link?

Boy, I can't tell. I see they've got them on various police bikes and some overseas bikes, but I can't tell if it is plug and play or not.

Part number 50126-08A for those interested.

It's actually a pretty nice feature. I used it to shut the bike off on my BMWs. Disabled it on the KLR so it didn't strand me if I bashed the switch to bits going over rocks.

I think the international HD bikes have them.

My John Deere has a butt-in-the-seat interlock.

Thanks for the info guys, now I need to figure out if it's plug and play. Time to call the dealer service department. It's not that I think I need one but I have on 2 or 3 occasions in the last 50 years forgot to take it up. Once, I got some speed up and got launched towards the right shoulder. It wasn't that big a deal but it could have been. I typically double check but sometimes...........

Touring bikes that the factory exports to Japan have the Jiffy stand interlock installed.
