Does anyone have experience with boring 96in factory jugs to 107? I'm concerned about heat issues,I do a lot of riding and am wanting dependability.. Thanks

That is a very common proven build. Hit up the forum sponsors. Hillside or fuel moto. Lots of reliable miles on these builds.

You'll probably be cooler, depending on what your 96" has on it for exhaust. Factory bikes are 103 now anyway. 96 to 107 is a no-brainer IMO. I have a 107 all bore in my 03 RKC and it's cooler now than when it was 95"

As others have stated the 107 build is proving to be very popular and reliable. I have seen some very impressive dyno sheets of full tilt 107 builds very near to slightly over 130 squared again these are max effort builds. I have the moderate Fuel Moto 10.25 wood 555 107 in my bike and it runs very well. I do use Wards fans and a Jagg 10 row cooler but I live in Phoenix AZ. and it gets a little warm here on occasion.

As has been already stated boring the 96" jugs to 107" is very common with proven results. You definitely want to put an oil cooler on if you do this. The MOCO added oil coolers when they started supplying the 103" engines in the new bikes as well.

Buy a 107 kit for 6-800, put in what ever cams you want.
Have your heads done for manual CR's and maybe flowed a bit.
It is not cheap, but day and night difference.
I would like to go that way myself but 96 is ok for the time being.

Roders does great work and they are a top notch tuning shop. They did my last bike.

We were one the the VERY FIRST shops in the country to start boring the OE cylinders to 3.937" back in 2006, (98"), then in 2007, 107".
We saw how well this worked, got with the engineering folks at Wiseco, and have had Wiseco Piston, Mentor, Ohio, manufacturing our proprietary VT1768's, and VT1767's piston/gasket kits for us since.
With an S&S .585/our Stage IV Heads/55mm HPI/Thunderheader, fellow forum member Target64's very reliable 107" showed 125 ft/lbs and 129hp, as an example.
Bored 6 sets of cylinders here last week alone.
No issues.
