I have a 2014 Limited, and run it without the trunk about 50% of the time. Looking to get a hidden CB antenna for the times I don't have the trunk on. Does anyone use one of the kits available.
I haven't seen these kits, but I would be very hesitant to use any hidden antenna because the length of the antenna has a direct impact on the range the CB will transmit and receive. Any bends or curves in the antenna will further reduce that range.
If you just want something a little lower, HD does make a relocation kit that moves the mounting point from the top of the tour pack to a few inched below the rear axle. This makes the height of the antenna go just above the top of the tour pack. Of course, this too will reduce the range, but not as much as shortening or bending the antenna.
