I'll need some help on this one
...I went with you on this, and I agree with what you are now saying as well.
For performance, you're better off with the stock configuration and a set of SE II slip ons...
I'm sticking with mine for now...I'm not intersted in eating the cost of the Rineharts...and like I said, not too bad for me.
Let me know what you do, and most importantly, tell me how it feels when you get it done...you may convince me to pull mine in the end, though I doubt it. I think the 98" and the Andrews 37g cam might be giving me enough that I'm happy with it. With my ride, if I'm doing 80mph, if I twist my hand a little, the bike squats down, and I'm doing close to 100...they scream on the top end...but they are sluggish at the bottom end.

Well Mac, to tell the truth I ain't so happy.
I called the tech at the HD shop and told him that it wouldn't run until 2500 rpm's and he said it's those damn pipes, he also said peploe will come in hear and spend 5000 scoots on a motor and then put those junky pipes on it and I just don't understand(his words not mine), I guess I went the wrong way with my build and pipes, any ways they are for sale, so if someone wants some Rineharts I'll try and give you a good deal.
i am sorry to hear that your not happy. i know you waited a while, but do not depair. if the rhineharts dont work for you try the SEII slip ons. i know i may be in a different position being i have the 103 ci engine but since my bro changed my baffles in my exhaust the bike is louder and running awsome. herre is a picture of what he did to the baffle
inner baffle on SEII slip on
so if you go the SEII rout let me know and ill tell you how he did that. good luck

, I really don't know what to say but this whole thing has throwed me for a loop, I was almost sick yesturday when all I could do to keep with the other bikes while going up a long grade hwy, if I geared it down to raise the rpm's it would fly but not until you wereover 2500 rpm's.Live and learn I always say
, but I still love the sound and look of the pipes but not the proformance, soooo onto the slipons, was thinking about the Rush mufflers, anyone have them or heard them.
Before you sh!tcan the Rineharts, consider the possibility that it may be the cams. I have the 95" kit with the 203 cams and the SEII slipons. My motor runs okay below 2500 rpm, but doesn't really get going until above 2500. Since many guys are having good results with the pipes, and since the dyno sheets that I've seen show only a very small drop in torque between the SEII's and the Rineharts, it may just be that the cam profile for the 203 doesn't suit your riding style.

Any how, I'm going to order the rush mufflers in the morning and give that a try, I just couldn't swing the extra cash to keep the Rineharts and start to expeirment with other pipes.
There has been nothing that I have done to a bike that has been more of a let down than this to me since I've been riding, just when you thought your headed in the right direction [:@].
Thanks to every one for there thoughts and comments.

I'll keep you posted on the outcome.

If you don't have any crossover, or a two into one, you WILL lose power on the low end without that back pressure a crossover or 2 into 1 provides. When you get to the top end of the RPMs, they will scream. No question. It's not a matter of type of pipe, it's a matter of physics.
After that, it's a matter of what you like. I'm sure you read all these posts...so you gotta do what's best for you.
