Sorry for all the questions but I only want to do this job once and done right. I'm installing a Fuel moto 107 kit and want to know while I have it apart, is there anything else I should do. I want to do any mods that will help in performance or reliability, like indexing the spark plugs or installing the ROCKOUT rocker shaft inserts kit to help. Thanks for all the advice, I really do listen.
I have the kit and did it all myself. I would buy several tools for sure.
OEM service manual $50 new from Harley
a pair of the lifter Holders Amazon for $20
The tool to hold the cams from spinning. Amazon $20
The Rocker lockers for cheap insurance.
Maybe a ring suppressor. I built one from 4" PCV and hose clamp I had laying around
I like the lifter holder so you can put the lifters in from the bottom and not remove that pushrod tube housing.
Install the exhaust gaskets in the holes before putting the heads on.

While you have the heads off get a port job done, there are different levels but at least a good street port job to get the full benefits of your big bore. It saves the work of taking them off a second time.
