Looking for a Dunlop Elite 3 front MT90B-16, everyone shows out of stock or no longer available, does anyone know for sure if this one size has actually been discontinued by Dunlop. I love the E3s but I need front and rear at the moment so Id rather buy a matching set, If I cant get them both I guess I'll just switch to another tire.
Not sure but I think Dunlop has dropped them for their new American Elite.
I just put one of the American Elite on the rear of my RKC on the recommendation of my Indy and love it. It has the harder compound in the middle for longer life and the softer on the sides for grip in the turns. I'll be putting one on the front when it's ready.
The MT90B16 Elite 3 has been rebranded as a 130/90B16 – same tire.
New SKU# 4079-42
Hope this helps – Ride Safe!
The info is not available on the Dunlop website, none of the dealers/distributors that I spoke with had any info other than "no longer available from our supplier"
this is a fairly vital piece of info that slipped through the cracks.
Fabrik8r,
Thanks for this research. I was looking late last year for these and could not find them in stock. Just the 130/90B16. I won't need it until mid 2016 so I did not pursue it further.
Just got a response from Dunlop Consumer affairs;

Thanks you so much Fabrik8r!! I had been spending a lot of time (too much) trying to find MT90B16 with no luck. I did see the 130/90B16 but wasn't sure if it was the right one. Thanks to your very helpful info, I just ordered it. (Love all the advice I can find out from this HD forum)
