014-15-16 Seats

Guys, Will a 014'-015'-16' touring seat fit on a 013 and prior years touring models ? Reason for asking is they are wider and roomer for both the rider and passenger. Has anyone tried to fit one onto a earlier model ? Seems the frame and the mounting set ups are the same. The only difference I can see is the new style trunk. Any thoughts ? Thanks..

The mounting points are identical.

Being wider, they may touch the speaker pods on an Ultra or Limited.

The newer seats are narrowed for the new lids on the saddlebags. If you put a 14 seat on an 08 it rubs the tour pack mounting uprights. But yes, they work.
