Stage 1 Plus - Completed
With the tips from all you guys I completed the stage 1 yesterday on my '07 RKC. Installed Rhinehart TDs, Arlen Ness Big Sucker, and PCIII from Jamie. Bike runs awesome and sounds like a Harley should!!!!
Along with the stage 1, I replaced the bag guards, installed frenched trim rings, installedthe license/tailight relo kit, and rear and front docking hardware. All was actually very easy if you take your time and don't bother with the instructions. Referenced the exploded views along with seeing how stockparts wereinstalled.
You guys gave some great tips prior to starting; had snap ring pliers for circlips, had 1/2" swivel socket for flange bolts, had pair SE exhaust gaskets, had blue locktite & hi-temp thread sealant, removed right foot board, and replaced rear mounting bracket. With all this job went great, all work took about 5 1/2 hrs.
Here are times if it helps someone planning same
Frenched trim rings: 15 min
Bag guards: 15 min
license/taillight relo kit: 30 min
Rear & forward docking hardware: 1 hr
PCIII: 10 min
Arlen Ness Big Sucker A/C: 15 min
Rhinehart TDs: 3 hrs
All really basic if you pay attention and invest in the proper tools.
Turning bike in for the 1K ile service next week, dealer's service dept said no prob at all with the mods and warranty issues, will do all wrenching following this one probably.
Thanks again bros for all the school'in. This bike sounds/runs great!!!!

Nice Work EZ!!! Definitely an inspiration to do my own this time around on my 07 UC. I am still trying to decide between the Rinehart TD or VH w/Ovals, PCIII vs VH FuelPak, Big Sucker vs SE 1...
Notice any improvement in regard to theheat factor?

This is an inspiring post. I'm real close to Big Sucker, PCIII, and Rinehart SO'smyself. I've been watching all posts to try to make the decision.
The local indy wanted $1288.85 to do mine turnkey. I can turn a wrench as good as the next guy but I am a bitapprehensive on digging in to my new RK just yet.
Thanks for your post.

I was the same way on my RG when i first got it, but i decided that to save Money for my next few peices of chrome it was better if i did my own wrenching and it has been great. The Big Suckwer and Exhaust is an easy change that requires very little skill plus it saves paying 1 1/2 - 2 Hours of Labor the the Shop will charge, and it will only take you 1 Hour to do the same thing.
