Be advised that I also use a POWERVISION tuner.......that helps getting the torque back.....and I also have the FULSAC dual conversion.....runs nice......sounds great........wont run it WITHOUT baffles anymore.......really robs the torque and is WAY too loud......got that CRACK when I open it a bit....... really menacing!!
Murph...do those bolt in the pipes? How did you secure them in the fishtail? I know my RUSH pipes have a bolt on the underside that screws them in to place.
I'm thinking the ebay pipes and the baffles to start. I do plan on adding the powervision when I do the spike air cleaner.
Do you guys see any problems running the ebays with the baffles until late summer?
You laughed at baffles for sure, was this because they would be too loud or something else?
I had also read that without baffles it could make the engine run hotter and therefore possibly damage parts on the engine or make them wear faster. Do you see this as a problem?
If I end up not liking it, I'll just get the Bassani's.
Yes they bolt on the pipe......from the end closest to the engine, not the fishtail end......the bolt inside is NOT welded to the inside of the baffle........you have to drill a hole for the bolt and nut to attach it...I drilled it on the inside so cant be seen.......you have to insert the baffle, then insert the bolt, I use those forceps things to hold the nut while I start the bolt. You have to drill the hole just far enough down so the pipe will still go into the head pipe.......about an 1 1/2"-2"...that set up is much better than what I had to do.......first I found the pipes, then I found the clamps, this set up has both......win, win.....
be advised....THEY WILL TURN BLUE without some kind of interior coating and/or fine tuning of AFR...(mostly left side cause its closer to the engine, right side doesn't have to many bends, thats where it gets hotter)
I plan on extended bags to cover most of it except the ends......

Yep. One or the reasons mine are gone. But I was only running Vieds for tuning.
I'm still on the fence....I like the look....I want louder pipes than what I have....but I like a clean bike.
My Springer never blued, but the extensions were way back and it was carbed. Tuned rich.
Both the FatBoy and the Road King blued fairly quickly. Not horrible, but you could see it. Well under a year and you could see it happening.
