Unpainted these bags cost $800+ painted $1079 or so, stealership pricing can range from $1300+ insane!
Love these bags but I can't see myself spending that type of dough even if I can afford it, I rather save for other goodies instead. These bags will go on a 2015 RGS. Went to eBay and I came across what appear to be the exact same bags under the serial number above for $349/$379, etc. According to the vendors they are indicating that they are exact replicas and everything from my stock OEM bags will fit... So?
Has anyone purchased aftermarket bags, used their stock lids and hardware and been happy with the end result?
curious about this as well. wondering if the quality is similar. The "V-twin" knockoff brand are for sale for $330 or less. I'd pay more for Harley bags if they weren't such an insane price (3-4 times more expensive).
I have the Fairing Plus extended bags and they are very nice. I chose the 2015 bags to go on my 2013 RGC for the one touch open lids. They look good, paint is good, no wavy look in the paint, but they are not the quality of the OEM bags. Both bags are plastic but the OEM bags seem to have something added to their make up to make them more solid and durable. But for the money you can't go wrong with some of the aftermarket bags. I like the Fairing Plus and Advan black products. I think they are the best quality aftermarket bags compared to the rest.
