Default Waiting sucks

I had been putting off getting some powder-coating done because I didn't want my bike down. Well I finally decided Id get some parts done with it being winter and all. I didn't do everything I wanted, well because the budget didn't allow for it at the time. I thought Id get a few pieces done then when those pieces came in Id send a few more in. Jan 4th I send my PC guy my crash bar, air deflector, highway peg mounts, mufflers and heat shields. Now I did tell the guy I wasn't in a hurry but my god.. I wasn't expecting this long... Hell Im almost scared to send anything else in fear I wont have the parts back by spring... Might look into finding another PC-er... No point to this point other than ranting...

Well, My engine guy picked up my bike 10 days ago. I stopped in last week to see how it's going. I mentioned to the tech I was going to Daytona for bike week. Nothing was said. Hahaha.
So I stopped there yesterday, and got an earful from the owner. " You didn't tell me you needed the bike for Daytona!" He explained the jockeying around he has been doing since I left last week. I told him, no worries! I can rent a moped for $25 a day. And laughed!
He will get it done. He was a little upset. He didn't want to disappoint me. Great guy.

But this live is short and my place is good. So, one bike rally without, one week down or one season lost.....it's all good. You'll be going in no time.

In my experience, when a mechanic/painter/powdercoater tells you two weeks, expect two months.

I haven't rode since Oct 4th of 2015 (stomach surgery sidelined me) and there is still way to much salt on the road to even think of riding up here. I wish mine was disabled for PC or upgrade of some sort. Just sayin....

I guess what caught me off guard is that Ive had this guy do work for me before. the turn around wasnt bad at all and the work was pretty good. I think he has alot of other bigger jobs going on now and the small stuff kinda falls by the way side.

If he has one of those huge gas ovens he may be waiting to fill more orders.
some powder coaters don't like to fire up them huge ovens unless they are full.
