Air cleaner swap

I have a 2013 SG w/ 103 c.i. I would like to swap the stock air cleaner for the new style stock air cleaner (OEM 2014 & up). Will this work? Do I need anything additional?

I don't believe you can use the new Rushmore air cleaner on an older bike. At least my dealer said it wouldn't work.

Then again, I belive the throttle body is the same bolt pattern. Hopefully someone else will chime in that's actually tried it.

I just put one on my 2011. It took five minutes. You just need the back plate, the air cleaner bracket, the vent hoses, the filter element and the cover. I bought mine for $27.00 on Ebay.

Your dealer either doesn't know what they are talking about or just wanted to sell you one of their aftermarket intakes. I put the complete stock intake from a 2015 on my 2009 ultra classic with no issues, it was a direct swap. There is someone else on here that just put one on his 2003 road king.

Do you have a stage 1 kit on your bike now? Usually you can find 2014 stock intake setup complete for about $50 if you patient. I am going put the new style cover on my 2012 that has a ness big sucker. I am going to use these parts from the SE kit to make it fit. Cost less than $20 for the parts.
