Iordered an adjustable rider’s backrest for my ’07 SG from Chicago Harley and it should be here tomorrow. Are there any tips/tricks I need to know about for installing this unit?
Yes, In my case, file out the front mounting hole and put about 3 or 4 washers under it to make it tilt back more. Mine felt like I was setting on the tank. That is what it took on 06 Ultra. LOL Dan
What dg said, I did everything by the directions and it could tilt back a little further. I need to take the seat off and put a few washers in also. You will like it very much.
Love mine on my street glide, Mounting the adjuster can be a bit of a pain, Pull the battery out and it makes it easier, I also pulled the cover off my back rest pad and trimmed it out to put a curve in it . feels 100% better. Then I just restapled the cover back on tight.
