Default Need help removing com plug

Ok. I never use the cb or com on my ultra, so I switched out my console. I've unplugged the com from the bike.

So, 1. Do I have to plug it back in for anything if I'm not going to use the cb or com?
2. If I do have to plug it back in and tuck it underneath my seat, how do I unplug it from the old console.

Thanks for any help.

Pull the cover down look at the connector, you'll see a little metal ring around the outside and you need to unscrew the ring. It has 2 small slots you may get a small screw driver into to start it.

Thanks. Do I have to plug it back in? Will I lose any functionality for the tourpack?

I don't know, but I would plug it back in so it's there if you ever sell the bike.
