Any reason not to switch out the windshield in cold weather. I know plastic becomes brittle when it's cold, do I need to worry about those little inserts being more likely to break or strip in cold weather? Just asking as I have already had to fix one when the bike was new and really don't want to do another.

 

Unless your riding in conditions where ice would build up on the windshield while riding, I don't feel you have anything to worry about.

 

You know I can never get the shield out without taking out all three screws. Is there a trick I am missing?

 

I completely remove the outer screws and loosen the middle one, I rock the windshield from side to side and pull straight up and it has always pulled out.

 

Your suppose to loosen the top two screws on the inner fairing as well as the top three on the windshield.
