Can I do this??
Or should I say, should I do this? I am thinking about contacting Jamie for a new map for my Rush slip-ons with the baffles removed. That way I could remove my baffles when I want to be really loud like at rallys and stuff. Then when I am ready to 'drop the volume' I can replace the baffles and reload the original fuelmoto map (with baffles installed). What do you guys think? Will it hurt my bike going back and forth once in a while?
I really value you guys' opinion!

My guess is that you could. But I'd bet your trip to the "rally and stuff" will educate you on how a loud exhaust will get very old very quickly on the road, especially for those who are behind you.
Loud isn't necessarily a good thing. Deep and mellow is what you are after. Do yourself and the rest of us a favor.......leave the baffles in!

I think you should do it, that way the law will ticket you instead of me.
Leave it alone. Your not impressing anyone "AtA Rally" with loud exhaust. Build a Bagger that wheelies, that will impress them.

This is one of the Scenerios why I chose the RineHart TDs. I have in the standard baffles.... if I want it a little quieter ... I can put in those or if I want 'em even louder (can't imagine why at this point) ... I can go with the large performance baffles. And in any event ... I'm with baffles.
I've heard enough straight-pipe .... and in all reality .... the deep/rich sound of nice pipes with baffles sound better Less 'pop' and much more 'throaty'.

You can say goodbye to pretty much all of Your performance if You do it.It will robably run like a dead dog.

It won't hurt the bike if you can find a suitable map, but your performance will likely suffer noticeably, especially the low-end. Besides, you have Rush mufflers on the bike, and with the baffle they sound about as good as anything on the market, IMO, so why fix it if it isn't broke?
'nuff said! I can take a hint!! Baffles are staying in.

I guess it's just hard to let old habits go. I had drags on my RKC before I bought the EGC. If I ever need more volume I'll get a set of 2.25" baffles.
