Here are the Spectro oils I run in my bike. Like WScott I've been running Spectro oils for over forty years in my bikes. It is the brand the mechanics run in their bikes in my local Harley dealer.

It was a simple question.

Ok,now that i got out of that way Here's a link to Spectro's full line of oil thats specifically formulated and engineered for lrg HD v-twin engines ,primary case & trans too .

And to avoid confusion i showed/posted the exact oils i am currently running in my HD because there a quite a few diff motorcycle oils offered for all diff bike mfg's and type bikes to get confused with so am trying to help him avoid if he decides to go with spectro oil for his bike.

Also posted oil info for guy's that aren't familure with Sectro motorcycle oil to see what they say about the oil they formulate for HD's.

I have been running spectro oil in my bikes (bikes i maintain for other people too) for yrs with great results.

Takes 5 mins to order online and the oil shows up at my door a few days later so just keep in mind to order the oil a few days prior to doing oil manit.

BTW,for those that may not have heard of Spectro Oil for motorcycles they have been blending/mfg oil for motorcycle racing & motorcycles in general for approx 55-60ys so you can rest assure your in fact getting a good quality product.

Heres 1 OF THE 2 SPECTRO OILS I'D REC RUNNING IN THE MOTOR (My bike has oil cooler with elec cooling fans and wards cooling fans to so oil runs up to 50deg cooler (MAKES MOTOR RUN SIGNIFICANTLY COOLER TOO) in hot summer heat therefore not needing full syn protection):

Spectro Heavy Duty Golden 20w50 1-qt
Spectro Heavy Duty Golden 20w50 1-qt enter quantity of 12 for case discount. Heavy Duty Golden Semi-Synthetic is the ultimate Semi-synthetic blended engine lubricant designed specifically for use in HarleyŽ V-Twin engines. Our proprietary combination of world class Group IV synthetic lubricants, superior base stocks and advanced anti-wear additives provides lower consumption rates, extends component life, reduces wear. A.P.I. SF/SG – CD/CG – 4.

THIS IS THE 2ND MOTOR OIL I'D REC IF MOTOR DOESNT HAVE AN OIL COOLER REQUIRING BEST PROTECTION FROM EXTREME HEAT REQUIRING MAX PROTECTION FROM FULL SYN OIL:

Spectro Heavy Duty Platinum Full Synthetic 20w50 1-qt
Spectro Heavy Duty Platinum Full Synthetic 20w50 1-qt. Enter quantity of 12 for case discount. Engineered specifically for Harley DavidsonŽ high-performance engines and other high-output V-Twin motors. Spectro Heavy Duty Platinum Full Synthetic provides smoother shifting, reduces friction, offers tremendous lubrication and provides superior protection in extreme heat conditions. A.P.I. SF/SG – CD/CG - 4.

TRASMISSION-6SPD:

Spectro Heavy Duty Platinum 6-speed Transmission Oil 1-qt
Spectro Heavy Duty Platinum 6-speed Transmission Oil 1-qt. Enter quantity of 12 for case discount. Designed by Spectro in response to complaints from Harley owners about the great but noisy new 6-speed transmission, this full synthetic provides ultimate lubrication protection. Formulated to significantly reduce gear noise and provide easier, smoother shifting, this SAE 75w140 formulation eases shifting even when cold. High loads and extreme heat do not affect the oil, so it performs well when pushed hard and long. A.P.I. GL-5 rated

PRIMARY CASE:

Spectro Heavy Duty Primary Chaincase Oil 1-qt
Spectro Heavy Duty Primary Chaincase Oil 1-qt. This sheer stable petroleum is designed to withstand the punishment of high loads, and contains special polymers to provide exceptional clutch engagement and temperature stability. Meets full OEM requirements, and should be used according to manufacturers’ instructions. Formulated specifically for Harley Big Twin applications. Low drag, low friction loss SAE 85w viscosity helps eliminate clutch “drag” and slipping.

I buy Redline 20W50, primary case oil, and transmission from Cycle Gear locally.

YUP,and too bad it botherd you so much to see it & just couldn't resist commenting saying just enough to lightly bust chops,i knew there would be a few guys like you that couldn't contain themselves having to comment with their " one liners from the peanutgallery " .

Not that i have to explain myself to you but since i am already here there is a reason I chose to give a " more complete answer " to his simple question vs just saying i buy my bike oil from spectro's website which BTW i clearly stated in my prior post that you " obviously didnt read " !

I posted the additional because there are many diff type motorcycle oils avail for diff mfg's bikes on Spectro's site & wanted to ensure if the OP decided to try spectro oil that he in fact got the proper spectro bike oil thats specifically formulated for lrg HD v-twins and oils spectro formulates for water cooled bikes that run considerably cooler .

Te reason i say that is the oil formulated for water cooled bikes can sometimes have a slightly diff additive pkg thatsnot best suited for a lrg air cooled HD v-twin that run considerably hotter because spectro may formulate oil for air colled v-twins with a diff & or more robust anti wear pkg in the oil for that app where the motor oil is exposed to significantly higher heat and more stress being mainly air cooled.

Do yourself a favor & ignore my posts since they bother you so much.

Happy motoring.

Scott

If you decide on Mobil 1 V-twin oil get registered on Pep Boys website. Its good oil and you can get it just about anywhere in a pinch. They send out 30% off coupons from time to time. I get 12 bottles at a time and free shipping for less than $8 a quart to my door.

Mobil 1 V-Twin 20W50 where it is on sale, stock up.
I use it in all 3 holes.
K/N 171C Oil Filter from Amazon, catch on sale, stock up.
A part of my garage is starting to look like a strategic oil reserve!
