Been trying to buy Amsoil 20-50 for my 03 roadking Cant seem to find , need help finding the best place to buy. I,ve been on amsoil web site cost about 12.00 a qt. Is that about right?
Go to the Amsoil site and join up as a prefered customer. It cost a fee but you way make up for it in discounts. Buy a case or 2, like a year supply and save. Find someone in your area and buy together.
I buy it at the local NAPA Parts store. Under 9 a quart. I just became a preferred customer of Amsoil. I had3 cases shipped but never really tallied it up to see if I saved. Their oil filters are reasonably priced too. You can get the black or chrome. Filternumber for the 06 ultra is the same for 07. O7 is not listed in their parts book as of yet.
I have a commercial account which means I am not supposed to resell. You can get a commercial account also. It's free. I stopped by the Richmond, Va warehouse a few weeks ago and picked up 3 Amsoil Chrome filters, some tranny grease and primary fluid. The 20/50 oil cost $6 a qt.. Remember this about synthetic oil. Not all syn is the same even if it's made by the same company. Some syn's are designed to be changed just like regular motor oil, 5,000 to 7,500 miles. Others, like I buy, are formulated for extended service. These are the oils that people refer to as "25,000 mile oil". Why does Harley recommend changing your oil every 5,000 miles? Other than to make more money, because it is NOT an extended service synthetic. If you have any interest in opening a commercial account let me know and I'll put you in touch with the guy that set up my account.
