Default Led lights

Just had my dealer switch out all my lights except for the fendertip lights I was always under the impression the leds draw less power. He is telling me that they draw more watts. I have a 50 amp alt and was wondering if any of you guys have done anything similar. Had them change headlight passing light. Turn signals tail light and put in the new tourpac led light bar. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks charliep

I have an Evo with an alternator of around 30 amps and nearly all LED lights and am not concerned. I don't know of any LED lights that draw higher power than halogens or other conventional bulbs.

I just changed the fender tip lights. I mostly like the back as now it is brake light too. Way brighter than that peanut bulb. It does have 40 small led's in it. The back has a better angle on older bikes for pointing towards other's, the front is angled up a bit but sure it's brighter than the peanut to oncoming traffic.

Find another shop to work on your bike. If that guy worked for me, we would be having a serious conversation.

He doesn't know what he's talking about, unless he installed an equaliser (resistor) larger than you needed.

I don't think everybody is changing everything to LEDs now because it sucks more watts. Most new homes, cars, etc. are using them now.

LEDs all around on my bike, including the fender tip light.
