What heads is he using in the build? You mention he is using the HTCC pistons, what about the HTCC heads as well? This is critical in order for the components to work together properly. When used correctly, the HTCC products can produce very strong performance, but they are some of the most difficult to set-up. Setting the proper squich is difficult and will result in low performance and/or detonation issues if not dealt with. Do a search for more detailed answers. Spending money on any tuning device is worthless if the combination of parts is not designed to work together. JMO
BZ,
You have Me way impressed. You're like E F Hutton, every time You speak,I listen.Sounds like You know Your **** and are not just rattling to hear Yourself. Thanks for what You bring to the joint.Alright,I'm done kissin *** now LOL.
I'm pretty sure he both has the HTCC Heads. This was the Kit installed by the dealer. I'll ask him to make sure. He has a dealers list of all the parts that were installed.
Just the opposite of what he said! I did buy a PCIII at first. I had it dyno'd by a Power Commander authorixed tech twice and still could not get rid of the stumbling when coming off idle and the backfiring when decelling. Sold the PCIII on ebay and bought a SERT. Bike is very happy now AND my mpg went up! Don't know anything about thundermax but based on what people have written, I'd check that out too. Stay away from PCIII!
Definately go with the autotune. You will need to have either an 07 model or exhaust with the 02 bungs. But it is really simple to install and if you have any computer savvy its a snap to load different maps and tweak it.

Excellent news! I am glad your SERT worked as well as everyone else's!
