Default Ram mounts

How are the vibrations when mounted to the handle bars? I am looking into the x grip for my phone and a cradle for the GPS. I installed the Harley mount and cell holder on the switches. Works good but shakes pretty good. Will the ram mount be better or about the same?

I use the X-grip for my LGG3 I have had no issues with it. I have used it now for a little over two years. It has worked perfect.

I have my GoPro mounted with a Ram mount. It's mounted off a ball that is under the left mirror stem. I get no engine vibration at all, but there is a little bit of movement due to road conditions (bumps). Not enough to bother me though and doesn't really effect the video. Never had a problem with poor still pictures due to road conditions.

I have my X grip mounted the same way. Never had a problem with it and use it the run a GPS and mp3s off my iPhone.

Mounting to the bars will reduce your shake/vibration. Anytime I've mounted to the fairing (several times. I have a short memory) it shakes way too much. Down on the switch cover seemed to be the best place IF you must mount to the fairing, but you'll get even less vibes by mounting to the bars.

Ram/ Ball Mount on the Handle bars for years, cameras, GoPro, GPS and phones. As long as my hands are on the bars, rock solid... Great pictures and videos. I also have 12 MMBs. At idle, bike sitting on side stand, Looks like a mixmaster....

Still IMO one of the best mounts out there. Be Safe JIM

This what I am using now. It's from the MOCO. It works good but vibrates pretty good at idle. It's bolted to the switches. Was just wondering if the Ram mount absorbs the vibrations better then this.

Mine is bolted to the bottom side of the left mirror...

I have my PV2 there now, but have ran the Xgrip for a phone, a GPS mount, and mounted my XMRoadie to one.

No issues...

I have the ram mount on my Road King. I put my Iphone 6 in it. Vibration is very little I use my gps and play music and have never even noticed a vibration. The only time would be a little at idle.

Add a Texel Webgrip or Ram X grip tether for added security. It goes around the back of the X Grip and hold the corners of you device so that it doesn't slip out the X Grip
