Hello,
I have a 2012 Street Glide with 23k miles. I just recently replaced my voltage regulator. However, when I was checking and clearing codes caused by the low and high voltage from the old regulator, new codes popped up (b1121 and b1122) Left turn / Right turn output faults. I have no idea if this is something that's been happening for awhile now or just recently. I tried clearing the codes and they came back. Not after every ride, but intermittently.
I have had LEDs installed since 2012 along with a biketronics load equalizer. All my turn signals work and I do not get the fast blinking so I assume the equalizer is still working. Is there any other system on the bike that would cause these codes besides the turn signals?
1) Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
2) Should I even worry about this since all systems seem to be working fine?
Note: I also did some work replacing my radio and a new Hawg Wired universal radio adapter. Not sure if that would affect any of this either.
Good chance it is the load equalizer. Most of them are cheap and do not work as well as they should. No big deal if lights are working. Do the codes show as Historic?
Historic codes are often harmless code set by an event that is just a hit and run. And not really a problem.

How can I tell if it's historic? I clear them and they return.
I do it the easy way My power vision gives them as current Historic or both. You will hear Tech that have been around a while refer to not chasing historic codes.
Do the wires for the handlebar turn signal switches connect to the HW adaptor? Possibly that is what is causing the DTC to appear. Can you try disconnecting the adaptor to see if the code reappear.

The adaptor connects where the OEM radio connected to the harness. It allows you to use your handlebar controls for volume, etc... I don't think it has anything to do with the turn signals.
