Default Immobiliser Security System

In 2000 when I bought my Electraglide new I had the dealer put a security system on my then new bike. I used it some in the beginning then put the remotes away as it became a pain in the neck. It was always going off. False alarm etc. Big waste of what I remember as $500. Anyway years later now I found the remote and charger etc and wonder if I should take all the stuff off the bike and throw it away. Problem is I really don't know what to take off as I have no drawing etc to go by on what to remove. Does anybody remember these alarms and what I need to remove? Any help? Thanks

I had one on my 2000 Road King. It eventually failed and caused the bike to die on the road....so I recommend you remove it before you have a similar problem.

Look around under the seat or side covers for the module. When you find it remove it and all the wiring harnesses attached. There was a lot of wiring and it interconnects with the stock harness(s). It was however plug and play and contained all the mating connectors, so it was easy to remove and there were no splices.
