Cool Daymaker Projector vs reflector

Anyone traded the projector for the reflector daymaker headlamp?
How did you find the reflector compares to the projector especially regarding the spread of light to the sides (to aid cornering)? Is the reflector any better?
It's just that I did a late night ride in the twisties recently and the projector really had issues illuminating the sides where the twisties were. It was so bad I'd consider ditching the projector in favour of the reflector if there was significant improvement to be had.

Yes the Reflector sheds a lot more light to the sides, I have road my buddies bike with the projector and auxiliary lights, and my reflector still shedded more light in the corners at night. But remember, with either one of there lights the key is alignment..

I didnt swap from the Projector but I did install Reflctor LEDs. theyre great but there was still an issue on twisties in the dark. solved that with the LED passing lights. All good, now. I do kind of like the look of the bike without the passing lights, however....but Id rather see.

maybe check out the JWS Adaptive LED? I actually just posted a thread about that, looking for some reviews.

I have an 01 RK and installed the HD Reflector led last year. Bottom line, not happy at all, wasted my money. I have adjusted it up and down etc etc, it leaves dark spots on the twisting roads, has a definite cut off line and does not shine through the corners. That is a scary situation. When I turn on the high beam I lose majority of up close and mid range lighting, now their is a modification available for keeping your passing lights on while high beam is on, but why should I have to do that? I don't think it will make things that much better, my opinion.
I'm not sure if it's an LED characteristic or not. I have read many posts from people who swear by the LED lights but I'm not so sure.... I,m sure my stock light lit the road up better but it is 15 years old and I don't trust it....

check out SO-CAL h.i.d kit for HD's. I'm running it in my SG with dual beam headlight and daymaker spots. very bright at night. and its plug and play.

I tried just about every light combo possible. I just run two 1800 lumen led bulbs in my 2014 oem headlight. I find it to be better than both lights u are questioning about.

The HID enclosures don't fit my 2014 FLHTK according to the catalogue, so it's not an option for me.
Yours is an older bike which is why it fits...
