Default Another Quality HD Crank!

In the process of my 103 build in my 09 FLHX, I checked the crank run-out, which was approx .006" so I decided to yank it and have it trued and have a Timken conversion done. Figured it made sense to do it while the top end was already off and give me peace of mind that the lower end would be pretty much bulletproof.
Just found out that not only is it pinched/bowed, which from what I understand is common and fixable, but one side of mine crank is actually shifted forward on the crank pin.
Builder is going to continue to work on it, but didn't sound like he was all that optimistic.
Might be looking at a new S&S crank, which wasn't in the build budget.
Gotta love that HD factory manufacturing!

Sad. Sorry this happened to you. Did you notice any weird vibration beforehand etc?

I always had a very slight, but noticeable vibration, but only between 2,800 - 3,000 RPM +/-.
My local wrench who is doing my disassembly / assembly said the crank more than likely came out of the factory like that. I ride hard sometimes, but not hard enough to shift the crank, particularly with a 96" stage I.
Now with a hot 103 build, expecting 115 TQ, I can see being able to shift a stock crank from pounding on it.

You might contact Revolution Performance and get there opinion. I would think that should be able to be corrected and upgraded at the same time.

Dan from Dan Vance Racing is doing all the work (including the crank work and Timken conversion), except for the final assembly.
I see he has done some of your work. He is a great guy and great to work with. Plus, he is driving distance from me.
I suspect if Dan can't get it trued, no one can, but thanks for the recommendation, I'll take it into consideration.

I had Dark Horse do my bottom end. I didn't like some of the other companies doing this type of work.
