Depending on what you do, it could be anywhere from about $250 all the way to $1200/$1500.
If you're not planning on doing any more to the engine, I suggest going with the Cyco replacement shoes and leaving it at that. They are a terrific upgrade for a stock engine.
Plus one on the cyco tensioner pads I did it so far so good, if your gonna do it screaming eagle 204 cams and new inner cam bearings and you will be all smiles
I have an '04 EG that I upgraded to the Harley hydraulic design. At the time, I asked the dealer to quote me replacement tensioners (what came with the bike), and that was $260. The quote was from 2 years ago and parts only. I decided to go with the Harley hydraulic upgrade. Those parts and having the cams pressed into the new tensioner plate cost me a little under $600. All the labor was mine.
I changed them at 73,000 miles and the tensioners showed very little wear (1/32"). They could have went another 73,000 from the looks of them. There was some wear but very little. In reading some of the horror stories, I just decided to make the change for peace of mind.
I went through the top reusing the stock pushrods, saving a chunk of change. I used Cyco tensioners as well. Total cost with new gaskets, lifters, inner cam bearings, (sans puller) was about $450-500.00. Another 100-150.00 for expensive lifters. I performed all labor. I also paid the extra coin for the Cyco shoe jig to aid easy and safe installation of their shoes. The spring tensioner assemblies are quite fragile moved in any other direction than they were designed for. Ask me how I know. $42.00+ for one new tensioner from the dealer.

Reason: Because I can
I was going to go the Cyco route with my 2002 Road King with 74,000 miles. Previous Owner had already installed Andrews 37 Cams, and adjustable pushrods.
I ordered the Cyco shoe kit and tool, but the shoes were backordered, and took over a month to get here....ended up buying the Screaming Eagle Hyd upgrade kit, and had my local Indy install.
$500 for the Screaming Eagle kit, $125 for new Feuling lifters, $220 for the labor. If it wasn't already equipped with the adjustable pushrods, it would have been a lot more labor....or a new set of adjustable pushrods.
I did all this to my 05 Fat boy last winter...I did Screaming Eagle camplate and oil pump upgrade, Andrews 48h Cams,V-Thunder Lifters, Screaming Eagle quick install Pushrods, New screaming Eagle Cam bearings, Gaskets and Fule Moto PC3 tuner for around $1100 for the coast of all the parts.
Plus one on the cyco tensioner pads I did it so far so good, if your gonna do it screaming eagle 204 cams and new inner cam bearings and you will be all smiles
Wondering if using the cyco pads to replace the stock pads will work with a mild 95 upgrade with 203 cams and no head work? Checking my stock ones soon and the bike has 22K on it. It is a 2oo5 Road king classic
