Hey members, I am new to the site and have a new tire issue, just had a new 200/55 R 17 put on the rear, but is rubbing on the fender, any advise.

I have a 2012 Road Glide Ultra.

Welcome to the Touring Forum.

Maybe the original size rear tire is the one that fits your Bike, what came off your Bike ?
Cars have more leeway with tire sizes, it is less so with motorcycles. How bad dose it rub ?
Can the tire be shaved down, or is it to big and needs to be replaced with proper sized tire ?
Most touring Bikes come with a 16 inch rear wheel, do you have a custom 17in. wheel ?
This is what you stated "200/55 R 17" in your original post, is that correct. Just Asking.

If that isn't the oem tire size, then there is your problem. If it is, then it could be a few things. Any chance the messed up and put the spacers on the wrong side? Also, I know that on my old heritage i had to loosen the rear fender and shift it a little. It was very close to touching on one side and had lots of room on the other. Was an easy fix.

If you go off the tire comparison chart below, it seems that your tire is a bit wider than stock, which is 185/65/16.

(yes, I know it's a Tacoma website, but the conversion still holds true.

And welcome!

Stock tire and wheel size for 2012 Road Glide Ultra
FRONT TIRE DunlopŽ 130/80 R17 65H REAR TIREDunlopŽ 180/65 R16 81H.
I too changed wheel sizes on my RKC but used the chart on the tire pages of most manufactures to find replacements that would fit. I do know the a 200 tire was too wide for my road king which utilizes the same frame as the road glide ultra
