Help with '04 intercom problem
I have an '04 Ultra that I have a problem with the intercom. It started out with the talk feature not working for the driver but worked fine for the passenger. The stereo played through the headphones fine. A new headset seemed to fix the problem. A few months later it started to fail again. The problem was intermittent for a while then it stopped working completely. My passenger could still talk to me but I could not respond. Recently the passenger mike also failed. We both can still hear stereo. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what was necessary to correct the problem. Is there anything I can re-solder or fix or do I need to buy a whole new unit? Thanks for any help you can offer

The plug that goes into the helmet can be "iffy". Can easily work slightly out of alignment and you'll experience problems.
Most people secure the wire at that point with a nylon tie or something similar to keep it connected.
