Default 01 Roadking front brake problem?

Hello, I was coming back from Chicago on a road trip... all was fine until I was getting close to home in Southern New Mexico. My front brake began pulsing at lower speeds. You couldn't feel anything until you slowed down and it feels like one of the front discs is possibly bent. I can watch each disc while riding and I see nothing out of alignment. The only thing I can think of is, while arriving in Albuquerque for my last hotel stay, I dumped my bike over to the right on a downward incline. At a stop, it started leaning and I just couldn't hold it up. I can't see how I hurt anything because I have engine guards but this happened on my last leg going home. So, my front brake pads were changed a couple years ago so they should be good. Any suggestions on how I should check the discs? Dial caliper perhaps? Any suggestions will be welcome. Thanks.

I had a similar issue and all I can figure is the rotor hit a big bug or glob of grease or ??? I did not drop it or hit anything for certain.
The pulsing happened on a road trip.
I removed the calipers, cleaned thoroughly the rotors with brake clean and rags, sprayed the brake pads and scrubbed them a bit with a nylon brush and hosed them with brake clean and while at it cleaned the pistons of the caliper.

Brakes were smooth again. Maybe the same for you ??

Sounds like your pads are dragging and created some hot spots on the rotor. As said above, clean the hell out of the edges of the caliper pistons so they retract all the way and they don't drag and heat up. Mine did the same thing. I scuffed the pads and rotors with very fine emery cloth after cleaning the pistons really good and never had a problem after that. Good luck!!

Had this happen too. The cup on the back side of the caliper was stuck causing it to drag. Cleaned them put in new seals and all is good.
