I'm looking for a way to keep my Road King vertical while I adjust the highway pegs, change oil and so on. Has anyone used the Harbor Freight swingarm stand? Its rated for a thousand pounds and appears to have enough leverage to lift the rear end and hold it vertical.
Thanks for your anticipated feedback.
Here's the HF stand in action. Of course the bike being lifted is less than 500 lbs. Don't forget that you're only raising ( approximately ) half the weight of the bike.
Dunno...these touring bikes are heavy to begin with. Might be more of a hassle for one person to balance the bike upright while you get the stand on. Most are made for a lighter street bike.
If you want the bike upright for quick setup a wheel chock or motorcycle jack might be the better investment, but if you absolutely must have one, consider other quality brands.

Reason: typo
I buy very little Harbor Freight stuff, prefer better quality. However I did buy a used HF motorcycle lift. Works pretty well. I would more inclined to buy the lift than the swing arm stand.
I used the stand for my old Fat Bob and I thought that was pushing it. I couldn't imagine putting a another 200lbs on it. Get a motorcycle scissor jack instead.
