Recently bought a 09 rkc and trying to figure out what's been done to the bike as previous owner wasn't sure. It came with a se pro super tuner (box only has module, no cables), so I'm just assuming he upgraded the air filter as well. But I don't even know if the tuner is still on the bike. So here's a pic of the filter. Appreciate any help y'all can give me. Thanks
appears to be a factory harley part , but it also appears to be an upgraded version, similar to the big sucker or screaming eagle type with the backing plate.
Thanks, I figured it had to be upgraded since it came with a tuner. So since the tuner didn't come with any cables do I need to go to Harley and find out what tune is on there?

The SE Tuner "module" you have is mated to your current bike and is tuned at the dealer. Yes your bike is "tuned." You will need it if you add mods and have it retuned. That is a Harley Stage 1 A/F and it looks like it could use a cleaning and oiling if it is that type of A/F

The filter looks dirty and says not to oil. Not sure how you would clean it if you are able to. I would replace it with a K&N. You can wash it out and re oil the element as needed. The SEPST does not stay on the bike once it has been tuned. It should have the original tune from the factory stored on it as well as the new tune.
Yes I agree that thing looks filthy. I've had the bike for a couple weeks and just getting around to checking out the filter and looking into the tune. Had to replace a bad compensator.
So what's everyone's opinion on the se filter vs other brands?

My stage I Harley air cleaner is round like yours but it looks a little different. Mine is washable with warm water and something like a mild detergent followed by rinsing out from the inside out. Then you place it in the sunshine to dry for a half hour or so. Do not blow it out with compressed air. It does not use oil. It is 8 years old and still looks good after 100k.
