I too was expecting to read a bunch of posts about the car tire argument:
1) It has worked for me, it's the best tire mod in the world
2) You're an idiot, you're gonna kill yourself
3) If you've never done it shut up
4)The world will end if you put that tire on your bike
There's a quick recap of most "dark side" posts for those expecting to read more of the same....
Me too... Been running a car tire on my bikes for about 15 years now, well if you don't count the '49 pan that came with the bike... Smooth and stable ride. Hell, the other half goes to sleep on long runs because of the smoothness.

You can't do that because of the sidewall. It doesn't seal correctly on a motorcycle rim. You're pretty much going to die.
Eventually, of something... most likely not related to motorcycles at all.

Wow... I didn't know that. Well you figure after putting 100,000 miles on car tires I woulda learnt my lesson. I am gonna die.. Didn't know that.. Hell, I thought I was going to live forever. Oh well, I guess I'll die from my own stupidity. But I'll die riding comfortably and safely on a car tire..

Does your wife have one of those little steps in the kitchen, so she can reach the stuff on the top shelf in the cabinets? If so, take your laptop to the kitchen, pull out the step stool, stand on it and reread my original reply.

Yep, was sittin' in the high chair and even wrote your post in cursive so I could re-read it. But if you read mine, 100,000(+) miles on a car tire (snow tire at that) with NO, repeat NO seating problem! Ya gotta try it BEFORE you critique.
