I would use the decel enleanment multiplier to add fuel if your getting the pop at all temperatures, to increase fuel you have to decrease the value. Power vision is pretty user friendly once you get used to it. here's a link to the manual and soft ware downloads

First, determine where in the rpm/kpa range the pops are occurring. Where they happen can make a difference as to what "fix" might or might not work. To say it happens when you pull in the clutch is not accurate enough to approach the issue logically.

FWIW, adding fuel is NOT always the answer. Sure, generally you can add enough fuel to drown the problem but that just creates other problems.

Pulling in the clutch doesn't cause it, letting off the throttle does.

It starts any time I let off the throttle and continues through the entire RPM range as long as I'm decelerating. I haven't put many miles on it but it seems to run well at cruise and when accelerating. I have no idea about mileage yet.

It started as soon as I started to ride, so cool-warm and got worse as the bike heated up.

My Multiplier is set at 1.0

What would you change it to?

Default Decel Pop After Stage 1

I found a PCV map on the Dynojet site for my combo (SE instead of S&S intake but close enough).

When I try to import it I get a message that it has high clipping error. The error shows at 18%. Does this mean I can't convert it to be used with the PV?

To add fuel you decrease the multiplier. Start by reducing in small incriments and see what happens. If it gets worse, you may have to go the other way.

The map needs to be adjusted. When I added my stage 1 with the Fuel Moto tuner, they had to adjust the map because I was getting decel popping also. They made an minor adjustment to the map and she runs perfect now. Sorry, I don't know what was changed, I haven't had time to sit down and compare the 2 maps side by side.

Default Decel Pop After Stage 1

I went back and rechecked the exhaust for any loose connections. I'll have one of the smokers at work help me test it tomorrow.

I forgot my laptop at work, so couldn't access WinPV, but I re-read the manual and found the Quick Tune instructions. I added +10 in the decel fuel spot. That didn't fix it so I went back and added +3 in the decel timing spot. I haven't ridden it with the timing change. I'll find out on my ride tomorrow work tomorrow morning.

If it's no better, I found a PCV map for my exact combo that I'll try to import and merge with my stock tune.

Thanks for all the input. Any further insight is appreciated.

I'm a mechanic, so I'm no stranger to engines and fuel injection. I'm just not used to messing with calibration files. I get a new file, I put it in. I don't get to play with it first.
