Default LED light pattern

I recently installed a J&W Speaker evolution II headlight in my bike. I noticed while aiming, the light pattern had a very obvious "stair step" to it. It began on the left and has two steps to the top. The right side is squared off. Im referring to the hot spot or concentrated light area in the center. Is this normal??

this allows the light to hit the right shoulder, while not blinding drivers to your left

just about any light post 70's has lensing to focus the light in a similar way

Yes it's normal. The LED light Patterns suck. At least my HD Reflector does....

Once you get comfortable with it, please do an indepth write up. I currently have the truck-lite but have been flirting with the idea of getting this one.

Thanks!
